Indonesia has much to gain from China in terms of economic development. Don't be dragged into the issue of geopolitical dispute over territorial waters like what the US wants. Indonesia has a few hundred million people to feed. It is the fourth largest country in the world. Arguing or worse going to war over a few miles of ocean is not going to uplift their economic status. Indonesia can gain from exporting their agricultural products and natural resources to China, but is that what Indonesia wants? Just to be exploited by China for its natural resources. To reach the next level level of development, Indonesia must get China to invest in Indonesia in terms of factories and infrastructure. But then you know how the Western propaganda machine will spin this and call this a Chinese debt trap.
