Too late though; back to March of last year at the beginning of the war, Ukraine had this chance when Turkey was trying to be the peace broker, but unfortunately US told Ukraine to fight on instead of making peace.

West will be scrambling for alternative countries that could gas and oil like Kuwait, Qatar, and Central Asian countries like Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in order to keep oil and gas running for NATO and EU countries. It'll be hard time for them, considering Russian gas were cheap and now China is going for hard all-in for it.
